Special counsel is looking for a Litigation Secretary with a minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting a fast-paced probate practice (preferred). This would be for a full-time position with a prevalent law firm in Los Angeles, California.
Will be doing court and administrative fillings in federal courts and California state courts.
Can accurately proofread and edit text for grammatical and typographical errors. This will sometimes include content proofreading.
Working with briefs, motions and pleadings.
Coordinate travel arrangements.
Minimum 2 years of experience with supporting a fast-paced probate practice.
Experienced in supporting a commercial litigation practice.
Pass provided word, outlook, typing an 80% pass or higher. Please note, software test can only be taken once. The typing test can be taken up to 3 times with a 45WPM or more.
Knowledgeable in TOA’s/TOCs.
Experience with California state and federal court filling is a must and knowledge of federal court local rules is a plus.
Ability to do bills, prebills for attorneys as well as record attorney time.
Expert at Microsoft Word and Outlook as well as the creation of Tables of Authorities.
Experienced to advanced computer aptitude to use various features of multiple software programs. This would include word processing, footnotes, redlining, comparing documents, and copying and pasting.
Well adverse with multitasking and time management to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
Exceptional acceptance of responsibility for producing complete and accurate work production.
Skilled at proofreading and attention to detail.
Location: Century City
Hybrid job type 3 days on site and 2 days at home unless litigation attorney needs you to be on site 5 days a week – parking will be covered
Hours do vary for personal preference
Options 1 (which is ideal): 10 am to 6 pm
Option 2: 9 am to 5 pm
Option 3: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm
$85,000.00 up to $95,000.00
