Litigation Secretary

Commerical Litigation Legal Secretary with at least 5+ needed to work for a law firm client.

  • Drafts and proofreads correspondence and legal documents; prepares revisions and redlines as directed; coordinates document preparation; and completes other general office duties such as copying, scanning, and faxing.
  • Maintains and updates calendars for assigned attorneys; coordinates travel; schedules meetings; enters and coordinates docketing information; and stays informed of case/project statuses.
  • Creates and maintains electronic and paper client files and indexes; performs routine filing; processes expense reimbursements; coordinates client billing with accounting department; and processes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Coordinates staffing coverage in the event of absences or workflow needs; and assists in the preparation and submission of timesheets for timekeepers and business professionals.
  • On-site liaison for vendor relationships, including equipment maintenance and outside suppliers. Contact for building management and FBT regarding facilities management, security, and after-hours issues.
