Long Term Temporary Legal Associate

The NYC office of Invesmtent Management Company seeking Long Term Temporary Legal Associate (either a recent law school graduate, junior attorney or  paralegal - open ended in duration)  for their Legal Staff team, a part of the Funds Legal group.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Assist in preparing regulatory filings, including fund registration statements, prospectuses, and Statements of Additional Information for PIMCO’s proprietary registered funds

  • Coordinate responses to various information requests, including regulatory and client requests

  • Assist in the preparation and organization of board materials

  • Work with account management to produce responses to sub-advised 15(c) questionnaires

  • Assist attorneys with miscellaneous special projects as they are assigned

  • Draft, review, organize, and revise fund-related agreements

  • Maintain records of all regulatory, contractual, and legal matters

  • Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required)

  • Paralegal Certificate or JD (preferred, not a must)

  • Minimum of at least 1 year at a law firm or in-house paralegal experience (preferred)

  • Knowledge of the Investment Company Act of 1940, Securities Act of 1933, Form N1-A, Form N-2 (preferred but again not mandatory)

  • Must be detailed oriented and able to juggle multiple projects (lot of deadlines that need to be met)

  • Possess exceptional oral, written and organizational skills

  • Must be OK with working long hours sometimes.
