Leads large-scale legal and business process improvement initiatives aiming to achieve substantial improvements, reduce risk, and decrease operational costs.
Support RFP submission efforts in coordination with relevant internal stakeholders.
Supports and mentors junior team members
Design and implement legal service technologies such as CLM, contracts workflows, and document management systems.
Lends guidance to support implementation and maintenance of process improvement initiatives.
Develops and outfits negotiation playbooks and associated strategies.
Provides systems-specific knowledge, recognizing opportunities for legal process improvements and designing initiatives to address recognized opportunities.
Negotiation of a wide variety of agreement types such as MSAs, SaaS licensing, professional services, cloud, NDAs, purchasing agreements, manufacturing, and supply agreements.
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years related experience required; JD and approximately 6 years of related work experience strongly preferred
Thorough understanding of contract fundamentals and strong aptitude to train and explain to others those fundamentals
Understanding of relational databases, and cloud-based AI tools.
Familiarity with low-code and no-code platforms in non-IT use cases, as well as experience in using them to drive efficiencies with an understanding how AI and Self-service workflows can deliver results in legal settings.
Aptitude to learn and develop proficiencies with new concepts, legal requirements, processes, and technology.
Develops and applies solutions to complex problems which require a high degree of resourcefulness, creativity, and invention.
Comfortable with an open and collaborative work environment, with ability to identify and deliver with minimal supervision.
Interpersonal skills that result in teamwork, trust, integrity, and strong relationships
Adaptable, able to work independently and shift as needed by client/business
Experience identifying contractual risks and understanding the financial and long tail legal implications.
High level of knowledge of contract/policy processing concepts, policies, guidelines, and systems.
Proficient in developing and executing multiple projects with varying complexity
