Special Counsel is seeking a paralegal assistant to join a prestigious Phoenix law firm.
The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience supporting paralegals and legal assistants within a law firm setting. This person must work well with teams, be self-motivated and take initiative. Excellent proofreading and administrative skills are required.
The paralegal assistant will primarily support paralegals, legal secretaries, legal assistants and attorneys with daily tasks and workflow.
Attend and actively participate in all training programs suggested by practice assistant lead and office administrator/human resources manager.
Proactively work with practice assistant lead, secretaries, paralegals and attorneys to obtain assignments and maintain a sufficient workload which offers learning and growth opportunities.
Proactively manage projects and assignments, ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely manner. Communicate regularly with team regarding the progress.
Assist in projects, time entry, travel arrangements and expense reports as necessary.
Work closely with legal secretaries and practice assistant lead to prepare, organize and save correspondence using the Firm’s standards and procedures.
Strong communication skills;
Attention to detail, willingness to learn, initiative and versatility;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
Ability to work independently and within a team environment;
Required: Bachelor's Degree
Required: Microsoft Suite of programs especially Outlook, Word and Excel
