Paralegal - Employment

Are you an experienced paralegal with employment law experience interested in a full-time, permanent job opportunity in Los Angeles, CA? We especially want to hear from those who are familiar with DFEH and EEOC claims processes—and/or those who are bilingual in Spanish and English! You will be responsible for drafting, formatting, and proofing legal documents and correspondence, ; propounding and responding to discovery; pre-trial and trial prep; calendaring; preparing documents for filing with state and federal courts; client communications; preparing exhibits; legal research; and other tasks as assigned. You will also be responsible for closely monitoring deadlines and schedules and associated calendaring. The ideal candidate will be a pleasure to work with, with a no-task-too-small, pleasant demeanor and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English? We especially want to hear from you!
  • 3+ years of employment paralegal experience, including knowledge of CA Civil Procedure and local court rules and DFEH / EEOC claims processes
  • Strong computer proficiency, especially with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint). Litify and/or Salesforce experience is a huge plus!
  • Typing speed of 60wpm or faster with high accuracy
  • A thorough understanding of discovery procedures and legal document formatting guidelines
  • Solid organizational and multi-tasking skills with high attention to detail
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills with a helpful, no-job-too-small mindset
