Large Law Firm seeking a Paralegal with a focus on Franchise regulatory filing experience.  Opening in either Dallas or Austin, TX

 

This non-exempt employee will support our franchise and distribution regulatory and transactional practice. Candidate should be a self-starter and detail oriented with excellent written and oral communication skills.

Essential Duties

  • Preparing and managing franchise regulatory filings
  • Preparing basic legal documents and agreements
  • Supporting attorneys in the group on various regulatory and transactional projects
  • Other Duties

  • Assist attorneys with speeches and articles.
  • Attend CLE and courses so as to expand knowledge of substantive law.
  • Perform other related duties as needed or assigned.
  • Reporting Relationship

    Reports directly to the Office Administrator and indirectly to assigned attorneys.

     

    Qualifications

     

    The Paralegal should have at least 1 year experience in a transactional paralegal role, be familiar with effective administrative processes and possess the ability to manage a multitude of tasks and deals simultaneously. This employee should be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The Paralegal should have administrative experience related to the legal services environment.

    Skills:

    The Paralegal must possess Advanced and excellent skills in the use of MS Office, most importantly Outlook, Excel, and Word. This employee should be extremely detail oriented and exceptionally well organized with strong time management skills with the ability to meet simultaneous deadlines. The Paralegal should have excellent interpersonal skills and be a part of a hard-working team.

    Education:

    Paralegal certification from an ABA approved school or bachelor’s degree in a field related to law, administration, or liberal arts required.
