Paralegal

Special Counsel is seeking a Paralegal for a temporary assignment with a company out for New York. Please see details below and apply if qualified

Details and Requirements:

• Expected Start: End of Feb. 2021

• Expected Duration: 8 weeks

• Bar Requirement: Active and in good standing within any U.S. state or D.C.

• Hour requirement: 40 hours a week 

• Pay: $30/hr

• Location: Remote, but must be in Eastern Time Zone

•Job Description:

Primary function to assist in the intake, processing, and tracking of government legal process served on the Company (e.g., subpoenas, summons, and requests for information).  Responsible for communication and correspondence with various business units, clients, regulators, and law enforcement.  Will work under the close supervision of an attorney, administrative manager, or a supervisory paralegal. 

A paralegal certificate or equivalent work experience (up to 3 years) is strongly preferred.  Experience as a paralegal will be in a corporate, government or private legal firm environment.  Strong analytical skills; proven oral and written and communication skills; foundation in planning and organizing; foundation in problem analysis/solving skills; demonstrated ability to deliver precise and timely work products; ability to demonstrate initiative and high work standards; ability to multi-task and manage stress are essential.
