Probate Paralegal

Special Counsel is recruiting an experienced Probate & Trust Administration Paralegal, for the Cleveland office of a regional law firm.  A minimum of 5 years’ experience in administering probate estates and related trusts from start to finish is required.  Competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing probate filings (inventories, accountings, notices etc.)
  • Keeping clients informed of status
  • Preparing necessary documents for trust administration (notices, trust accounts, etc.)
  • Candidate should be able to maintain probate administration files and to work independently to track deadlines in order to assist attorneys with meeting all probate-related deadlines.  Software used includes Puritas Springs, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, online dockets and efiling where applicable.  Familiarity with county-specific procedures in northeast Ohio counties, including Cuyahoga, Lake, Lorain, Geauga, Summit, Portage, Wayne, and Stark is preferred.
