Project Management Specialist

Are you a legal project manager interested in taking your career in a new direction? Special Counsel is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, permanent Project Management Specialist position in Tampa, FL. 


  • College degree (preferred)
  • 3+ years of project management experience in a law firm (required)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and GANNT charts
  • Proficiency in graphic arts for meeting presentations
  • Proficiency working in and populating virtual data rooms
  • Strong project management skills
  • Outstanding analytical and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation with a commitment to continuous improvement and development
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Responsibilities

  • Serve under the Healthcare Program Group Leader 
  • Provide advanced project management skills to the Healthcare PG Leader
  • Analyze potential legal issues in emails and bring to the attention of the Healthcare PG Leader
  • Prepare and document the scope of legal work for clients, using Excel or GANNT charts, identifying and documenting legal tasks, attorney owners of each task, tracking and updating metrics for tasks completed
  • Responsible for tracking and following-up with the Healthcare PG Leader and attorneys to ensure the timely deliverable of legal services to the clients.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations with graphics for client presentations
  • Prepare detailed reports for Healthcare PG Leader and attorneys as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Salary

  • Commensurate with experience
  • Up to 80k
