Real Estate Paralegal

Special Counsel is hiring a Paralegal with at least 4 years of real estate experience in the New York or Boston areas. This is a direct hire position.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in all phases of real estate transactions
  • Reviews and prepares loan documents
  • Prepares and files UCC financing statements
  • Reviews due diligence and property-related materials
  • Reviews title reports and surveys
  • Proofreads all documents with high degree of accuracy
  • Attend closings and organize and distribute documents
  • Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • 4 years of real estate experience, or comparable work experience
  • Title and Survey experience preferred
  • Skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Takes ownership over projects and proactively resolves issues
  • Able to follow complex instructions
  • Researching and communicating large amounts of complex data
  • Strong technological proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  •   Salary negotiable depending upon experience
