Sr. Commercial Real Estate Paralegal

Special Counsel is assisting one of our well-respected, boutique law firm clients in Charlotte with their search for a Sr. Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join their legal team. The firm is seeking candidates with a minimum of seven years of recent law firm experience supporting a sophisticated commercial real estate practice.  The firm offers competitive compensation, a collegial work dynamic and a positive work/life balance.


  • Prepare organizational documents (articles, operating agreements, etc.)
  • Prepare initial drafts of purchase and sale agreements
  • Order, review and file title reports, surveys, settlement statements, lien searches, and exceptions documents
  • Draft and revise closing documents (deeds, title affidavits, FIRPTA, 1099)
  • Preparation and management of deal closing binders
  • Manage closing timeline and  logistics (payoffs, scheduling, etc.)
  • Communicate regularly with clients and drafting correspondence
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum seven years of paralegal experience supporting sophisticated commercial real estate practice
  • Title and survey experience required
  • BA/BS and paralegal certificate preferred
  • Excellent attention to detail, writing and editing skills
