Special Counsel is recruiting a Temp-to-Hire Attorney for a health care organization in Chicago. This position is remote until September; and, 2 days per week through the end of the year. In office full-time 2022. Benefits are available.
Draft and update QIP contract templates for programs, as needed. Review QIP contract revisions to participation agreements and business associate/data use agreements submitted by customers and to accept, reject or negotiate revisions. Position will process assignments, addendums, renewals, and other documentation as needed or pass to the responsible staff, e.g., Certificate of Insurance; payment vendor, etc.
Administrator for contract management application (Conga) responsible for contract templates; maintaining system record labels and processing flow; support contract management and contract lifecycle management.
Administer training: contract management application workshops or initial training for new hires; contract processing and organization and training for the annual HIPAA educational update.
Provide information for Board reporting or for the Divisions; complete a check of Board and Employee debarment each January 1st and July 1st; Work with the CFO to transfer contract processing to F&F for all QIPs; expand contract processing as time permits to NDA and other agreements as discussed with supervisor.
2-4 years contract law experience is needed along with a knowledge and general experience in the health care industry, HIPAA, member services and non-profit organizations
Administrative and managerial skills
Exceptional oral and written communication skills along with the need to respect customer confidentiality rules
Outstanding negotiation skills with attention to detail
Strong contract/document management system knowledge
Work with PDFs (Adobe), DocuSign, Conga
Understanding and keeping up on regulatory and compliance issues
Creative problem solving and good judgment
