Temp-to-Hire Paralegal

Special Counsel is recruiting a Temp-to-Hire Paralegal for a health care organization in Chicago.  This position is remote until September; and, 2 days per week through the end of the year.  In office full-time 2022.  Benefits are available.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote and assist with the delivery of primarily Quality Improvement Program legal services throughout the organization. Provide a weekly status report to QIP coordinators on the status of their contracts. Work with the CFO and outside legal as necessary to resolve contract revisions that fall outside the scope of approved alternative language. Responsible for BA/DUA, PA, Assignments, response to Stark questionnaires, notary. Responsible for insurance link to customers and if necessary, COI procedure.
  • Administrator for the Contract Management System. Responsible for accuracy of information, reporting capabilities as requested by CFO or Division Directors; Maintain contract templates including updating of approved templates and destruction if outdated; responsible for training of personnel within each Division and assistance as needed; establishes access for new employees and deletes terminated employees from the system. Helps staff with access to templates or standardized agreements such as Independent Contractor, NonDisclosure Agreements.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and Paralegal Certificate
  • Strong Word and Excel Skills
  • Expert level contract or document management application knowledge
  • Works independently
  • Creative problem solving and good judgment
  • Ability to Teach others re contract management
  • Working with PDF's, DocuSign, Conga
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills; excellent customer service skills; ability to stay on track with competing priorities and assignments
