Temporary Conflicts Attorney (NYC Office of AmLaw Firm)

The Midtown, New York City Office of an Am Law Firm is looking for a Temporary Conflicts Attorney to assist a busy team and be an integral part of the department. This role is slated to last at least 6 months. 

Job Description:
Work with risk committee, GC's office, ethics & compliance on following:
- supporting new matter intake and lateral attorney hiring by helping to identify, analyze and resolve conflicts of interest in a timely manner
- Prepare concise summary reports for the relevant attorneys identifying potential conflicts issues that require attention and possible resolution
- Discuss conflicts issues with relevant partners and other members of the Office of General Counsel or Ethics Committee, as needed, to resolve potential conflicts
- Follow-up with attorneys to ensure prompt resolution of conflicts issues
- Review outside counsel guidelines for client-specific conflict considerations that may affect the conflicts of interest analysis

- Must be barred and in good standing with NY Bar 
- If candidates have conflicts experience, a big plus, not a must; can be an associate from mid-sized law firm or Am Law Firm 
- Must be willing to go on-site when firm returns after Labor Day
