Temporary IP File Clerk

Special Counsel is currently recruiting a temporary IP file clerk for a downtown law firm.  The Temporary IP File Clerk will be responsible for assisting the IP attorneys and assistants with the physical maintenance of case files as well as scanning and organization of electronic files.  Benefits are available.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize, file, and track all IP related case files; includes adding new documents and labeling files.
  • Scan and electronically organize IP related files; organize in accordance with Firm standards within iManage. 
  • Maintain IP physical and electronic records in accordance with Firm policies and procedures.
  • Move IP physical records from the Firm’s current designated storage space to other designated spaces.  
  • Assist IP Attorneys and Assistants with special projects as needed.
  • This position may require the ability to adapt to new technologies and/or job duties as required.
  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Proficient in data entry and knowledge of basic computer applications. 
  • Previous file clerk experience within a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
  • Experience with iManage (or equivalent) preferred.
