Special Counsel is currently recruiting an experienced Real Estate paralegal for a company in Oak Brook, IL. This position is a temporary position that will provide support and assist with projects. The assignment will last approximately 16 weeks. Work is on-site.
Responsibilities:
Prepare real estate deeds and deeds of trust
Review deeds for accuracy
Summarize and report findings; track project progress throughout
Perform research, data analysis and other activities accurately and efficiently
Complete data entry for daily processing and one-time projects
Participate in regular staff meetings
Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies or related field
Paralegal certification
1-3 years of prior work experience as a Paralegal
Quick learner, inquisitive and curious
Knowledge and experience in preparing and filing real estate deeds and deeds of trust
Experience working at a Title Company preferred
Operate efficiently, with excellent data entry skills, strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through
Work independently and be proactive in resolving issues and seeking additional work as time allows
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
Operate with a high sense of responsibility and conscientiousness in delivering results
Optimistic with a consistently positive and flexible attitude
IRA knowledge and experience with alternative Investments and data archival systems a plus
