Trademark Paralegal

A prestigious law firm is looking for a Trademark paralegal to join their Garden City office.


  • Ability to complete and fill out US Patent and Trademark Office trademark forms for attorney review
  • Understanding of the U.S. trademark prosecution process, and familiarity with foreign trademark practice
  • Familiarity with CPI docketing system
  • Understanding of how to utilize USPTO systems, including TESS, TSDR, ETAS and ESTTA
  • While it is not essential, if the candidate has a basic understanding of design patent prosecution, copyright forms and some litigation paralegal experience, it would be helpful.


  • Preparing forms for submission to the USPTO (This is the most important thing.  We need a candidate that can hit the ground running regarding this point.)
  • Reviewing domestic and foreign trademark approval documents, publication and allowance notices, and registration certificates and preparing reporting letters regarding the same
  • Liaising with clients regarding basic questions and status inquiries
  • Maintaining docket of upcoming and long-term deadlines
  • Storing e-mails prepared by attorney in electronic folders
