Big law firm is looking for an experienced Trusts and Estates Paralegal for their Midtown Manhattan office. Candidates should have at least 5 years of trusts and estates experience, as well as experience with fiduciary accounting.
The right candidate will be responsible for managing estate administration and tax administration at federal and multi-state level. Coordinates and prepares income tax information and returns for a variety of estate/trust/asset related scenarios. These scenarios include but are not limited to estate planning, settlement of decedents' estates, inter vivo and testamentary trusts, fiduciary/family related matters, and ownership in partnerships, real estate, stocks and bonds. Researches and interprets estate and planning laws/cases.
Minimum of 5 to 7 years in estate administration and proficiency with investment tax strategies. Experience with fiduciary accounting. Excellent communication skills. Good Excel and math skills. Experience with Hot Docs. Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate preferred.
