Special Counsel was engaged by Corporate Counsel at the North American Headquarters for a large global human resource solutions company to assist with several non-litigious managed solutions projects. Our client had reason to believe confidential and proprietary information was breached on a former employee’s laptop. Due to previous successful engagements on litigation and managed review projects, we consulted with the client to determine whether we could provide assistance with additional projects related to employee non-compete agreements. Upon review, our team recommended a unique solution that our client’s internal IT team was unable to execute in-house. The client asked Special Counsel/D4 to complete the recommended non- compete data investigation rather than engaging outside counsel or other private practice firms, which would have charged hefty hourly fees.
