Special Counsel’s client, a large international hotel chain, was involved in a civil lawsuit between private parties, stemming from a luxury real estate transaction. The plaintiff purchasers’ claims included unfair or deceptive practices, misrepresentation and concealment, unjust enrichment, breach of contract, breach of good faith and civil conspiracy. The defendants engaged Special Counsel to perform privilege analysis on over 125,000 documents, redact any privileged information and create a free-form privilege log for documents or information withheld.
